Warhammer 30K Space Marines

Back in the middle of 2018, Games Workshop had two great Horus Heresy or 30k boxed sets available (Betrayal at Calth and the Burning of Prospero) which provided cost effected access to the then new plastic 30k range. Which in true Games Workshop fashion then killed off with no warning and no replacement similar product leaving people to now spend £30 on each 10 man squad. It was good while it lasted.

We had Mark III and IV power armour squads, Terminators, Adeptus Custodes, Sisters of Silence and some charters

Who know maybe we can expect a new 30k boxed set in 2019, but then it is games workshop we are dealing with here.

30K Thousand Sons Space Marine Force

Almost Finished with my 30k Thousand Sons Force. I finished the Cataphractii Terminators and all that remains are 2 mark IV Space Marines to make the squad up to 10

And that will probably be it for the 30k Thousand Sons as Games Workshop have discontinued the large plastic 30k box sets and have not put new models for a while. It is a shame really as I quite liked the 30k same but different space marines. There is always forge world stuff but it is expensive and I prefer plastics where i can. I still have some 30k Iron Warriors to paint up but then that is it.

30k Thousand Sons Contemptor Dreadnought

Finished my 30k Thousand Sons Contemptor Dreadnought. It is a nice sculpt but the actual posing options (non) and one alternative arm option make it a one and done purchase. Not worth the £35 Games workshop are asking for it, in fact considering an easy build Redemptor is £25 which is bigger, this quite frankly a complete rip-off.

Warhammer 30k Iron Warrior Tartaros Terminator Squad

I am closing in on finishing my remaining 30k Miniatures which are slated for Iron Warrior colours

The main difference from other Iron Warriors I had painted is the blue eyes rather than red and I used Agrax Earthshade rather than Nuil Oil as the main armour shade.

And finally finished the remaining 5 30k Iron Warriors I had left to do. I tried the new Iron Warriors base paint on them. It is every so slightly different but especially once washes are applied you can hardly tell the difference between it and the lead bleacher
